Recap: Our 1st Virtual Gala
by Kelly Gallagher, Founder
Our organization was able to successfully raise $77,773.00 completely virtually. This event, normally held in person in the beautiful downtown Philadelphia area, kicked off our inaugural 2021 fundraising campaign from the comfort of our couch. 100% of funding from this event will go back to families in the NICU and our mother- baby campaigns that are in place in 11 area hospitals. We want to thank our sponsors for their continued commitment to our organization and who helped make this event possible.
We also want to thank our speakers Marques and Emily Colston, Lauren Holiday, Joleen Jaworski, Amy Jo Martin and Sara Walsh for sharing their own inspirational stories of why they remain committed to our mission. Our event emcees, Mara and Brian Taff, kept the event flowing with their own personal NICU story and led our successful Fund to Mission where supporters sent in generous live donations. Our guests were dancing around their living rooms to music by Go Go Gadjet. Our showstopper finale capped off the evening with a special performance by Mario Winans singing his #2 hit song, “I Don’t Wanna Know”. A huge thank you to our Creative Director, Rachael Balascak who from start to finish logged countless hours ensuring this virtual program went off flawlessly!
The Superhero Project is committed to continuing its mission of supporting families in the NICU and ensuring the 1:10 families who have sick infants feel supported and loved. If you would like to make a donation, please consider doing so.
